"I bought a plugin from revisionfx.com..."
I bought a plugin from revisionfx.com and, against all odds, the install was actually easy and quick. I was fully prepared for the usual little tech adventure, but it went smoother than expected.

I downloaded the file, ran the installer, and my app picked it up right away. I did have to restart once, because apparently computers still need a tiny nap to understand what just happened.

The license setup was simple too, with no weird hoops or confusing steps. Took maybe 10 minutes total, so naturally I’m suspicious, but happy with it so far.

"I really like what the RE:VisionFX plugins can..."
I really like what the RE:VisionFX plugins can do when they’re working, but stability has been a headache for me. I’ve had After Effects crash a few times and ran into random freezes during renders, which gets old fast when you’re trying to hit a deadline. The results are usually solid, so it’s extra frustrating to lose time reopening projects and re-rendering. I also felt like support kind of sent me in circles with the usual troubleshooting steps instead of getting to the root of it. For the price, I expected the whole experience to feel a lot more reliable

"I’ve been really pleased with how often..."
I’ve been really pleased with how often they roll out updates. It makes the site feel active and well taken care of, instead of just being left alone. I definitely appreciate that...

"Not a good fit right off the bat"
Pretty quickly, we realized this wasn’t going to work well for our team. The setup felt clunky, and instead of helping, it ended up slowing down our review process.

"The price feels hard to justify lately"
I’ve used it a bit and the tools are fine, but after seeing the most recent bill, it just feels too expensive for what I’m actually getting. Maybe I’d feel differently if I used every feature, but right now the cost is what stands out the most to me

"Support got back to me quick"
I had a question they got back to me faster than I thought they would. The answer was clear enough, and I didn’t have to sit around waiting forever. Solid support, no complaints from me...

"Upgrade policy was fair"
I get my upgrade without any hassle, which was nice. The whole thing went smoother than I was expecting.

"I installed it in After Effects and..."
I installed it in After Effects and Premiere and it all went smoothly. Haven’t really noticed any weird host problems or anything like that so far.

"Activated with no hassle at all"
I grabbed the license and didn’t have to mess around with anything. It activated quickly, probably in the time it took me to sip my coffee and check one email. Everything worked fine, no weird errors or extra steps.

"The renders came through fast overall..."
The renders came through fast overall. I did notice one small lag at one point, but it wasn’t a big deal. compared to some other tools I’ve used, it felt a lot more..

"I’m using the RE:Vision Effects tools on..."
I’m using the RE:Vision Effects tools on Windows 11 they run smoothly on my setup. Had one annoying little issue after an update, but a reinstall fixed the damn thing quick. My only gripe is that the compatibility notes could be clearer, because digging around for that stuff is kind of a pain.

"The GPU Boost Helped, But It’s Not All Smooth Sailing"
I was excited to try this out because my renders used to take forever, the GPU support made a noticeable difference right away. I kicked off a project that normally gives me enough time to make coffee and forget what I was doing, and this time it finished much faster. That part was great. But it hasn’t been perfect — every now and then it still crashes on me, usually when I’m right in the middle of working and feeling like I’m finally making progress. So overall, it’s definitely faster and I’m glad for that, but I’m still hoping it gets a bit more stable...

"Solid docs, but come on with the missing bits"
The docs on revisionfx.com were helpful. The setup steps were clear, the examples actually made sense, and I was able to get moving without bothering support most of the time. But then I’d hit one of the older pages and suddenly I’m like, why are there no screenshots here? A few answers took way more clicking around than they should have. Still, overall, they did get me unstuck, so I can’t be too mad.

"Artifact reduction only helped a little"
I tried this on around 5 or 6 noisy clips, and the artifact reduction was just okay. It cleaned things up maybe 20% or so, but in a few spots it made the video look kind of soft and a bit unnatural. For what it costs, I was expecting a bigger improvement. I also felt like the support info was thin, maybe just enough to get started but not much beyond that.

"Tracking stayed sooo locked on"
The motion tracking was reeeally accurate, even with some shaky clips. I barely had to tweak anything afterward, which was such a nice surprise.

"Fair pricing, depending on what you need"
I’ve used revisionfx a couple of times now, and overall the pricing feels reasonable for the quality you get. It’s not exactly the cheapest option out there, so if you’re only doing something small or on a tight budget, you might feel it a bit more.
That said, for the projects I used it on, the cost felt justified and there weren’t any annoying surprise charges at checkout. I’m giving it 4 stars because I’d still appreciate seeing a few more discounts or deals from time to time.

"Decent site, but I got a little turned around"
I was able to find the main products on revisionfx.com, but I don’t know why, the layout felt a bit harder to follow than I expected. Some pages had a lot of information packed in, so I ended up clicking around more than I thought I would just to figure things out.
It’s not a bad site overall, and checkout/downloads seemed to work fine. I just think the menus and product details could be clearer, and the interface feels a little dated. For me, it’s about a 3-star experience.

"I was expecting a lot more from..."
I was expecting a lot more from the way the tutorials were described, but they’re lacking. The wording made it seem like there would be enough guidance to really get started, but I ended up feeling like I had to figure too much out on my own.

"The tools are fine for basic stuff, and..."
The tools are fine for basic stuff, and overall it gets the job done. I just wish there were more options because it feels a little shallow after a while. Also, it’s annoying when the terms seem to change, because it makes it hard to know what you’re actually signing up for.

"Took me a little while to get the hang of it"
These are good tools overall, but it took me a bit of practice before I felt comfortable using them. I was messing around with them one evening after dinner, probably longer than I meant to, and once I figured things out they worked well.

RE:Vision Effects Q&A

I initially invested a total of $105,000 over a period of 5 weeks. My bonus/profit was $830,000, every attempt to make withdrawal failed and I was instructed to make another deposit of $25,000 before I can make withdrawals which I did. Up till now, I’m still unable to make withdrawals and all attempt to contact broker has failed. This is very pathetic and I felt so bad losing my investment. I did a due diligence test before investing with them but guess what I ended up getting burned. This is to create awareness, not everybody can be as lucky as I was. I’m saying this because I was able to recover my funds.
